Your Pug scoots on the floor because they’re likely trying to relieve discomfort or itchiness around their rear. The most common cause is full or irritated anal glands, which can happen if they’re not emptying naturally. Other causes include allergies, worms, or irritation from grooming products. Check their rear for redness, swelling, or signs of worms, and ensure they’re on regular deworming and flea prevention. If scooting continues, visit your vet—they may need to express the glands or treat an underlying issue. To help prevent it, keep your Pug’s diet high in fiber to support healthy digestion.
