Sometimes, it’s not about the paycheck — it’s about pride, integrity, or just not wanting things to fall apart. I’ve been there too: staying late because I cared about the project or didn’t want to leave my teammates hanging. It’s frustrating, but deep down, it also says something about our sense of responsibility — that inner voice that won’t let us walk away when something still needs to be done.
