To keep your Pug from running away, focus on training, safety, and keeping them engaged. Teach commands like “come” and “stay” using positive reinforcement, so they’re more likely to listen. Always keep them on a leash during walks and use a secure, fenced yard for playtime. Make sure they’re microchipped and have an ID tag in case they do get out. Pugs can run off out of curiosity or boredom, so ensure they get enough exercise and mental stimulation. Never punish them for returning to you, even if they’ve run off—it might make them hesitant to come back next time. Consistency is key!
