Pugs can swim, but they’re not natural swimmers, and it’s not always safe without supervision. Their short legs, dense bodies, and flat faces make swimming difficult, and they can tire quickly or struggle to keep their head above water. If you want your Pug to swim, use a dog life jacket to keep them buoyant and stay close by at all times. Introduce them to water gradually in a calm, shallow area to build their confidence. Avoid deep or fast-moving water, as it can be dangerous. Swimming can be fun and good exercise for your Pug, but safety and supervision are key! 😊
