Is it safe to take my Pug outside in winter, or do they need extra warmth?

Pugs can handle mild cold weather for short periods, but theyโre not built for extreme cold. Their short coats and small size make it harder for them to retain body heat. If itโs chilly outside, youโll want to keep their walks short and maybe dress them in a cozy sweater or jacket to keep them warm.
Pay attention to signs that your Pug is too cold, like shivering or lifting their paws off the ground. Always provide a warm and comfortable space indoors for them to rest. When itโs really cold, theyโll be happiest snuggling up with you inside!
