I stayed way too long, thinking things would get better. But when I started feeling like a stranger in my own company, I knew it was time to walk. Leaving was hard โ but I finally feel free.

I kept telling myself, โThings will get better next quarter.โ But deep down, I knew the partnership wasnโt working. I stopped enjoying the business. I was constantly second-guessing myself, and worse โ compromising my values just to keep the peace. The final straw was when I realized I was more anxious about meetings with my partner than I was excited about our goals. I sat down, went over our operating agreement, and spoke to a lawyer about exit options. I tried to keep the conversation professional and not burn bridges. Leaving wasnโt easy โ financially or emotionally โ but now I sleep better, I think clearer, and Iโm finally proud of what I do again. Sometimes letting go is the most powerful step forward.
