There are times in life when everything seems to go wrong at once—health issues, job loss, financial struggles, family problems. It can feel like the universe is testing your limits, and you wonder how much more you can take. How do you push forward when life feels like an uphill battle?

I won’t lie—there have been times I wanted to throw in the towel. Life has a way of testing you right when you think you’ve caught a break. For me, I remind myself of two things: 1) Every rough patch I’ve been through before, I got through it. And 2) If I stop now, I’ll never know what was waiting on the other side. When things feel overwhelming, I focus on just the next step, not the whole journey. I also let myself feel frustrated or tired, but I don’t let that be the final word. Because at the end of the day, as long as I keep moving—no matter how slow—I’m still making progress.
