Honestly? I still can’t say it directly. My dad and I… we’re not talkers. But I show up early to fix the sink. I drive them to the clinic even when they don’t ask. I bring home their favorite pears, the kind my mom used to cut for me when I was five. Love doesn’t always need words. I think — no, I hope — they feel it in the things I do.
